March 27, 2017- Cedar City UT. Jewelry designer Cydnee Lee, has just released her first line of one-of-a-kind necklaces for her new business, Uniquely You. Created in her apartment she’s set on bringing individuality back into a world filled with mostly mass produced product in order to reconnect customers to creators.

Cydnee, set out on this goal after deciding her jewelry wasn’t expressing who she was and fashion trends weren’t helping her do so either. “It’s hard to feel unique when the person next to you is wearing something the same as you,” she jokes. With this in mind she set out to make sure that didn’t happen anymore. From her apartment work-space Cydnee gets to mix and match, arrange and rearrange necklace components till satisfied they help enhance showcasing her personality, “I shouldn’t have to change to fit my jewelry, my jewelry should change to fit me.”
She’s since extended that and is now designing pieces for all personalities. Observing siblings and friends, Cydnee is able to use each individual as a muse to inspire a necklace piece that they help design and all they need to do is be themselves. Cydnee draws from what a typical day is like for them. What they wear to start with, but then going further into the hobbies they have, if they have kids, what they enjoy in their downtime. All these components help decide and create their necklace. Uniquely You necklaces are designed with the sole purpose of helping express the wearers character without having to say a word.
“My favorite part is seeing how all of the separate individual pieces can start to be combined and pieced together in so many different ways to create something whole,” she says. “Then at the very end I have this finished piece that reminds of someone specific. That’s so much more satisfying than trying to pick something that’s been made by someone who has no idea who you are.”
Uniquely You is a new online startup business by founder and jewelry creator, Cydnee Lee based in Cedar City, UT. She’s a 2017 graduate of Southern Utah University with a bachelor’s in Strategic Communications and currently works full time as a supervisor for The Home Depot. When she’s not making jewelry in her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors hiking, backpacking, and camping and is quickly becoming a fan of rock climbing.
