With life being so busy since returning to school along with working full time I was finding myself with

way too much stress and not enough positive outlets to counter it. It became evident that it was time to find something that would help give myself some me time in-between all the responsibilities. Introducing my new relaxation hobby; jewelry making!

I have to give credit to a great friend, David, for introducing me to the art of making jewelry. Through spending time with him and seeing how much he was able to relax and spend so much time working on a piece, gave me the desire to achieve the same.

While I never had the patience to sit and put together puzzles growing up, I find that creating jewelry from scratch has become my version of a puzzle. One that I get to create from scratch and create whatever I want. I have loved going into the craft store, looking through all of their options and slowly picking beads out that would complement each other.

After the beads/ accessories were picked out, I would have to take the idea and figure out the best way of piecing them all together. It’s not just jewelry making, but a problem-solving skill that I will continue to grow. To look at every individual piece and to find a way they all work together to create a solution. As far as Edge goes, the solution is a pretty necklace. Outside of that, this project has provided a great life skill, relaxation, and concentration developer!
